About Us
Fischer Farm is a family owned and operated farm. The family has farmed the land for three generations. Today, the farm is run by Scott Fischer and his wife Becky. They have four children; Jill, Keith, Lisa and Laura.
Once a cattle farm, the farm now grows sweetcorn, soy beans, wheat, hay, apples and pumpkins. While it's still hard work, the seasons dictate when to work and when to rest.
In spring, Becky plans and plants a vegetable garden. This year it's stocked with strawberries, grapes, watermelons, tomatos, zucchini, eggplant, squash, green beans and fresh herbs. All delicious ingredients for Becky's wonderful home style cooking.
In summer Gizmo, the farm donkey likes to give the children rides around the fields as the two farm horses are exercised around the Indiana countryside.
Every harvest, the Fischer children design a corn maze for dad to cut out in a five acre field. Children come from miles around to have fun and navigate their way though the corn maze. Afterwards many of them buy pumpkins for Halloween and take them home to carve their scary creations!
When the snow falls, the farm land becomes a beautilful winter wonderland and playground for snow mobiles.
The Fischer family enjoy the farming lifestyle; the rhythm of the seasons, the outdoor life style and the camraderie when everyone helps out at harvest time!
Come and relax on 300 acres of beautiful farm. The Fischers won't bother you, they have pumpkins to plant, fields to tend, equipment to repair, four kids to keep alive, three dogs, three cats, two horses, a donkey and probably something else that they've forgotten about because they're so darn busy.
